Living in a park

Seven sustainable, residential buildings in a park-like setting have been designed for the redevelopment of the former army barracks, ‘Generaal de Bonskazerne’ into an asylum seekers centre. The buildings are designed for the user group and can be simply adapted to accommodate new programmes. Building F, which forms part of the old barracks complex has been transformed into a service building. The monumental character of the 1930’s architecture is retained and adaptations are expressed with a modern contrast.
