Islamic Cultural Centre

Geometric pattern

In the design of the mosque the separated routes play an important role, alongside the building’s orientation towards Mecca. The building, for which we designed the structural engineering services, consists of two squares; the basis of all Islamic geometric patterns. This pattern returns in the facade, in an element with a grid inside. All the openings in the facade are located within the lines of the geometric shapes, which creates a recognizable, extraordinary building with a clear appearance.
